This week, we’re putting the final touches on the app based on user feedback. One of the biggest improvements has been making the interface clearer so it’s obvious that Relay is an app for parents to arrange transportation for their kids. For example, we’ve added a kids’ icon to parent profiles to make the purpose more intuitive.
Outside the app, we’ve been preparing different items for the demo day. We’ve designed brochure, business cards, and a promotional video. We also started a new Instagram page — @relay.rideshare to share our values, features, and benefits. Also, we’ve put together some fun souvenirs for our guests on the big day!
As this project nears its end, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who made it possible. A huge thank you to our amazing team for their hard work and dedication.
Throughout this journey, we faced several challenges, from creating dynamic accounts tailored to both parents and drivers to managing complex data storage and transfer. Striking the right balance between an intuitive design and powerful functionality was another significant hurdle. We also put a lot of effort into designing and coding features like smart route matching, AI notifications, and GPS live tracking, focusing on streamlining ride scheduling and addressing parents’ safety concerns.
And, of course, we are grateful to our instructors, Henry and Tomoko, for their guidance and support, as well as to Sam, our team coach, for helping us overcome communication challenges and fostering a better understanding among team members.
We’re so proud of what we’ve built over the past three months, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Stay tuned, and we hope to see you on the demo day!
