Streamlining Carpool Requests and Ride Posts
Our primary focus has been crafting the core features for creating carpool requests and ride posts. Since carpooling requires gathering various details, we faced the challenge of presenting these steps in a streamlined, user-friendly way. Our goal is to make the complex process of carpool coordination feel effortless for busy parents. By storing user data securely within the app, we’re able to minimize the repetitive information parents need to fill out each time, making their experience as efficient as possible.
Solving Key Challenges with AI-Powered Matching
Earlier research highlighted significant pain points: 66.7% of users reported difficulty coordinating different schedules, and 55.6% noted challenges in communication. To address these, we designed an AI-based feature that automatically matches users’ routes with similar requests, showing drivers convenient pick-up options for passengers along their route.
This function eliminates the need for users to manually search for matches, simplifying the coordination process and ensuring that compatible carpools are just a tap away. By letting the app handle matching, parents and drivers can focus on what matters most – getting kids where they need to go safely and efficiently.
Enhancing Usability with Time-Saving Features
In addition to route matching, we incorporated time-saving details, such as predictive address input, which allows users to enter their full address by typing just a few letters. Different route options display estimated travel times, enabling users to make informed choices for their carpool plans.
